What a session looks like

The practical shape of the work.

The first session is partly an intake and partly a meet-and-fit conversation. Sessions are 50–55 minutes, typically weekly, in person or via telehealth. We adjust frequency and duration to your life and goals.

Approaches we draw on most often:

  • CBT for thought-pattern work.
  • ACT when meaning, values, and avoidance are the live questions.
  • IFS (Internal Family Systems) for work with parts and protective patterns.
  • EFT for emotion-focused individual and relational work.
  • EMDR for trauma when it’s on the table.

Intake conversation

A short call to understand what brought you here and identify the right clinician fit.

First session

Fifty minutes — partly intake, partly meet-and-fit. You can say “I don’t know how to start” and that is fine.

Ongoing care

Cadence and approach adjust as the work evolves. You’re always in the loop on what we’re trying.
