Training philosophy
What we want trainees to leave with.
We are looking for trainees who want to learn how to work with depression in real bodies and real lives — not the textbook version. You should expect weekly individual supervision, group supervision, exposure to group therapy as both observer and co-facilitator, and case formulation that actually changes how you see your clients.
Our supervisors are licensed in California and oriented toward modalities including CBT, ACT, IFS, EFT, and a relational baseline. We hold a high bar on cultural humility and we expect trainees to be willing to be supervised on it.
If you’re multilingual, please tell us — clients are often relieved to be matched with a trainee who shares their first language.
